Amex Gold Unsigned is the new initiative giving artists their big break Current
Ever wanted to release your own track? This could be just the opportunity for you
American Express has launched a new initiative Amex Gold Unsigned that is looking to help some of the UK's brightest talents make it big.
The initiative is a partership between American Express, Mixmag, NME, the BIMM Institute and Syncr. The winning unsigned act will provide the soundtrack and feature in a forthcoming campaign for American Express Gold Rewards.
Whether you’re a bedroom producer, band, singer-songwriter, rapper or just about anything, this may be the perfect opportunity to get your music out there.
The winners will be supported by a dedicated team to produce and release the single, including studio and rehearsal time, songwriting and production support, a £10,000 sync fee, get to perform at an Amex-sponsored music event, playlist pitching to radio, streaming platforms and online publications, feature in a short documentary about Amex Gold Unsigned and a fully serviced record release.
To enter, all you need to do is submit one to three tracks that you feel represent your style best by going heading to Syncr. Submissions are open until June 12th.
Submission rules are that entrants must be UK residents and not currently under contract with a record label. Tracks submitted for consideration must be entirely your own work and must not include any unlicensed samples. You must be available to take part in Unsigned events between June 7 and October 31 this year.
