Alexander Nut in The Lab LDN
Expect eclecticism from the Eglo Records boss
The Lab LDN is Mixmag and Coors Light's weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world famous office party.
This Friday we welcome Alexander Nut in to provide a soulful soundtrack from his diverse record bag.
Over the course of his career Alexander Nut has played integral parts in some the UK dance scene’s most revered institutions, including Rinse FM, Plastic People and NTS Radio, where he currently broadcast bi-weekly on Sundays between 8pm to 10pm. On the airwaves and in clubs he showcases a remarkable ability to weave varying styles into singular sets.
He’s also marked himself out as one of the finest musical curators around beyond the decks, co-founding Eglo Records with Floating Points in 2008 and minting releases the likes of Funkineven, Fatima and Anderson Paak. Next up the label is putting out K15’s summery ‘Sunbeams’ EP, a perfect remedy to January blues. Pre-order it via Juno.
Following his Lab LDN appearance Alexander Nut is playing the debut London edition of Sassy J’s Patchwork party at The Colombian, tickets are on sale now.
In The Lab he’s sure to spin a thrilling trip across the musical spectrum. The live stream starts at 5pm GMT this Friday January 19, you can tune in live over on our Facebook page and re-watch on Mixmag TV from 6pm GMT.
