Aivvy to release headphones with built-in music streaming

Prepare to go device-free

Smart technology manufacturer Aivvy is releasing a pair of headphones that come bundled with the company’s digital music service built in, meaning you don’t need to carry a device such as a phone or MP3 player to listen to tunes.

Eight pre-populated music channels are available to users, with the headphones also taking note of what time of you listen to certain types of music and curating its track selection in line with this through the Aivvy Cloud.

Further features include hand gesture controls and automatic playback and pausing when the headphones are put on and taken off.

Speaking about the product, Aivvy co-founder David Ring said: “Aivvy is striving to understand more than just what you like, but why you like certain music, and when you like it. Soon, Aivvy won’t just be delivering the music that you want to hear, but the music that you want to hear when you want to hear it.

"I like EDM, but that doesn’t mean I want to hear the new Skrillex record at a dinner party. Aivvy will understand that.”

The headphones are expected to launch in the second half of 2016. For further information head to Aivvy’s website.
