A crowdfunding campaign has been launched in aid of d‘n’b vocalist MC Fats

The favoured artist is set to undergo major heart surgery in Sardinia

A fundraising campaign in aid of MC Fats launched this week after news broke that the pioneering d ‘n’b MC had fallen ill while touring in Sardinia earlier this month.

Despite having retired from the majority of his live shows, this month MC Fats, aka Wildale Spencer, travelled to Sardinia to play out at Sun and Bass festival. However while overseas Spencer was admitted to a local hospital after suffering from breathing difficulties.

After a week-long stint in the hospital, it was revealed that Spencer had blockages in all three of his coronary arteries, and will remain in Sardinia for the foreseeable future as he undergoes a triple heart bypass.

The fundraising project aims to raise £10,000 to cover expenses incurred throughout his treatment and to help support Spencer’s partner Mo.

Fans, friends and industry peers have been showcasing their support for MC Fats on social media, with the likes of Doc Scott, Andy C and Shogun Audio sharing the campaign online.
