9 photos showing the glitz and glamour of Giorgio Moroder's career
A true pioneer
Electronic music pioneer. Three-time Academy Award winner. Donna Summer and Daft Punk collaborator. Giorgio Moroder's not done too bad for himself, has he?
The 76-year-old is the producer behind Donna Summer's 1977 hit 'I Feel Love' and the year after he won Best Original Score at the Academy Awards for his work on Midnight Express. Fast-forward to 2014 and he added another trophy to his cabinet by picking up an Album of the Year Grammy for Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories'.
After the release of 'Space Ibiza 1989-2016', on which Moroder turned in a disco-inspired selection for disc two, we've got handful of photos from throughout his life. From hanging with Donna Summer and Daft Punk to posing with his synths and by the pool, they're pretty stunning and depict what's been a rather glorious career.
Moroder's mix for Space is also appearing on a limited edition, 23-disc Space box set, featuring mixes from Kevin Saunderson and Carl Cox and tracks by Loco Dice, Nicole Moudaber and Daft Punk. Only 1000 copies will be sold, with each given their own number.
