50 Weapons will close this year

50 Weapons, the Berlin techno label ran by Modeselektor, will close this year.

The news came via a series of tweets and Facebook posts that revealed the imprint would come to an end this year.

50 Weapons began in 2005 as a sub-label of Monkeytown Records and acted as an outlet for harder, more alternative techno music.
