Fred again.. to host free production workshop for trans+ musicians in London

The workshop will take place this Friday at Abbey Road Studios as part of a new Trans+ Future Sounds initiative

Fred again.. is set to lead a production workshop for trans and queer musicians later this week as part of the new Trans+ Future Sounds initiative.

The session was announced by the Trans* Creative Collective on Instagram yesterday (June 16), a community group hosting events for trans+ artists, as well as Emily Lazar’s We Are Moving The Needle, a non-profit group dedicated to women, non-binary, and trans producers and engineers.

"We are creating an opportunity to be welcomed to one of the most prestigious recording institutions in the world, Abbey Road Studios, to be shown that you are respected and valued," they explained.

The two-and-a-half-hour workshop will take place this Friday, June 19, at Abbey Road Studios, led by Fred again.. and a host of special guests.

Those involved include Sans Soucis, MESSIE, Trans Voices, charlieeeee, Satch, Emily Green, Fuzz Chaudhrey and some surprise guests throughout the evening.

"This is an event to be celebrated for who you are and have a chance to learn from leading professionals in your field," they explained.

It comes as part of a new event series, Trans+ Future Sounds, which aims to "facilitate and support producers and writers from the trans and queer community to become the innovative leading producers the industry needs."

The first event will take place from 3:PM until 8:PM on Friday, and is also set to feature some performances and other community activities. Find out more about it below.
