Pacha New York severs final ties with Brooklyn Mirage, secures temporary liquor licence
The venue, set to open this weekend, still faces a myriad of restrictions such as capacity limits and a block from using third-party promoters
Pacha New York has been granted a temporary liquor licence ahead of its debut this weekend.
The once troubled venue, previously under the name Brooklyn Mirage, will reopen after a rebrand on Saturday, June 13, but faces a barrage of restrictions ahead of its launch.
Pacha New York will not be allowed to host 24-hour parties, street events, or use third-party promoters, and is also restricted from overselling tickets or banking on no-show rates to go over capacity, per BK Mag.
The venue must also clean all streets within a three-block radius following events, and is restricted from cross-selling indoor and outdoor events, with its capacity set at 5,300 outside and 2,500 inside.
According to BK Mag, Pacha Ibiza's parent company FIVE Holdings has now completely severed ties with Brooklyn Mirage after acquiring the venue in January.

The State Liquor Authority granted the Brooklyn venue a licence that allows it to serve alcohol while its full application is still in the processing stage.
This means that the previous licence held by Avant Gardner, Brooklyn Mirage’s wider venue complex, is relinquished, severing final connections between the operators.
Earlier today, Pacha New York confirmed that it has received final approvals to open, unveiling a $24 million "operational enhancement plan" over the next decade.
Brooklyn Mirage faced long-lasting issues in its short tenure. In August 2025, the venue's parent company, Axar Capital, filed for bankruptcy with over $150 million in funded debt obligations, and faced partial demolition with plans to remove a 32,000 sq ft. area of the club.

The new venue is determined to start on the right foot by crediting those who went without a refund for cancelled Brooklyn Mirage events before it was forced to close.
Pacha New York will open this weekend with a party curated by Rampa and friends through June 13 - 14, followed by a weekend of opening celebrations with line-ups featuring Michael Bibi and Black Coffee from June 20 - 21.
