Berghain’s Ostgut Booking agency will cease operation at the end of 2022
Its unclear what will happen to the agency's 30-strong roster
Berghain’s booking agency arm is due to close at the end of the year, according to Resident Advisor.
RA reported yesterday that, per an inside source, Ostgut Booking will cease operation at the end of 2022. No reason has been given for its closure.
When the booking agency shuts down, eight people will be made redundant, and it’s unclear what will happen to the near 30 artists working on the Ostgut Booking roster.

Those on the roster currently include Ben Klock, Lakuti, Marcel Dettmann, Steffi, Paramida, and Berghain’s bouncer, Sven Marquardt.
Ostgut Booking also took on several new names at the beginning of this year, including Fadi Mohem, who took up a brand new residency in August. “A very warm welcome to one of Berlin's freshest faces – Fadi Mohem joins the Ostgut Booking agency roster,” the agency posted.
Sedef Adasï, Naty Seres, JakoJako, and Lakuti also joined the roster earlier this year, taking up new residencies at the seminal Berlin club.

Ostgut Booking first launched over 15 years ago. The agency follows the closure of Ostgut Ton, Berghain’s in-house record label, as the second division to cease operation in the past 12 months.
In December, Ostgut Ton closed down after one final compilation release titled ‘Fünfzehn +1’ paying homage to 16 years of the label. The compilation included tracks from the likes of Avalon Emerson, Honey Dijon, JASSS, and Gerd Janson.
In the space of 16 years, Ostgut Ton put out hundreds of releases including its beloved mix series, and worked with dozens of artists from all over the world.
