Nile Rodgers and Roosevelt release new Studio 54 tribute ‘Passion’

The pair have teamed up to pay tribute to one of NYC's most iconic nightspots

A new disco single has been released by German artist Roosevelt and Chic legend Nile Rodgers.

The new track named ‘Passion’ was produced in tribute to the heyday of iconic New York City club Studio 54.

Studio 54 was the inspiration for Roger’s hit record with Chic, ‘Le Freak’.

New single, ‘Passion’ falls under Roosevelt’s 2021 album ‘Polydans’ — a record heavily inspired by the 70s/80s disco era.

Roosevelt explained that: “It‘s been so surreal to work with one of my biggest influences on this one - Nile is a living legend to me and being given the opportunity to collaborate on a track was an absolute dream come true! There‘s some magic in his guitar playing that I still can‘t quite put into words and having him on a Roosevelt track means the world to me.

“I‘ve written this song as an homage to the ecstatic and blissful late 70s disco tracks that inspired me to start producing my own music in the first place about 10 years ago. Go have a listen today - I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it!”
