Fabric's closure was one of dance music's biggest stories in 2016 and was characterised by an overwhelming show of support from club-goers the globe over.

So when a capacity crowd of jubilant ravers turned up to reopen the legendary club this weekend, it promised fireworks.

With the likes of Daniel Avery, Seth Troxler and residents Craig Richards and Terry Francis manning the decks, it was a night of celebration and, as Troxler put it, "a defeat for conservatism".
