15-year-old dies after attending rave in South London

The rave took place at a former Royal Mail delivery office on Saturday night

A 15-year-old boy died yesterday afternoon after attending a rave in East Croydon, South London.

According to the Croydon Advertiser, police believe the teenager, from West London, fell ill after drinking from a bottle of beer apparently containing ketamine.

A 19-year-old is also said to be in hospital in a serious but stable condition after drinking from the same bottle while others have also been reported ill.

The rave took place on Saturday night at a former Royal Mail delivery office, with over one thousand believed to have been in attendance.

Police are said to have turned up at 9pm and it's reported that objects were thrown at them throughout the night while the building suffered serious damage.

It has also been reported that police had information about the rave a week before the event which has now led to an internal investigation.
