So what did you bring in from your DJing ventures in the past year? A couple hundred, maybe even a few thousand bucks… if you were lucky? Well, not to make you wince like you did watching the day-glo ravers during the Olympic opening ceremonies, but Tiësto took in a cool $22 million in the past 12 months.
Forbes has put together a list of top earning DJs this year and Tiësto topped the chart, with Skrillex coming in second place with $15 million. Tiësto’s sold out a 15 month, 174-date “Kaleidoscope" tour was a major contributor to his large money pile as well as music sales, endorsements and merchandise sales.
