We'll try and keep these end of year round ups to a minimum now that it's 2010 but one result of note is the Essential Mix of the Year winner as voted for by Radio 1 listeners.

Sharam beat Subfocus, Luciano & Deadmau5, Fake Blood, Gui Boratto and more to claim the best Essential Mix of last year.

The ex-Deep Disher's two hour mix was originally broadcast on 29 August; alongside his own productions and remixes, his set featured tracks and remixes from Ennio Morricone, Nic Fanciulli, Kid Cudi, Okain, DJ Pierre, Joris Voorn, D-Unity, Cedric Gervais, Steve Aoki, and more.

Sharam said: “It's a real honour to win this prestigious award given the illustrious list of previous winners and especially as the competition this year was so tough. This is a testament to my belief that people like their musical journey varied. I'd like to thank all the listeners around the world that voted”.
