MAN GOES MISSING AFTER WAREHOUSE PROJECT

A man has been reported as missing after the Warehouse Project's New Year's Eve event.

The 19-year-old student, Souvik Pal, was last seen by his friends at the Manchester event, where Annie Mac and Rudimental were performing, at approximately 10:30 pm. Reports suggest bouncers were seen ejecting a young man matching his description at 01:30 am.

The aspiring DJ moved from Calcutta last summer to begin his degree at Manchester Metropolitan University, and his father flew over yesterday to join the search.

The Warehouse Project has released a statement expressing concern for his safety. Police divers have searched Manchester Ship Canal near Victoria Warehouse, but a body has not been found. Souvik is described as Asian and 5ft 7" tall, with a scar on the right side of his forehead.

On the night of his disappearance he was wearing a pale denim shirt, grey chino trousers and navy blue leather boots. Anyone with information is urged to contact Greater Manchester Police on 0161 856 4223.
