- About Me
Mixmag News Editor: I fell in love with clubbing aged 12 at 'Dance Daze', Portsmouth's under 16s disco - alright so it wasn’t real clubbing, just lots of teenagers touching each other up to Salt-N-Pepa’s 'Push It'.
When I was 15 I started printing fake IDs on my computer and selling them round school (you still can't use Proof of Age Cards in Portsmouth because of me) - we used them to sneak into Ritzy clubs before we started going to raves like Helter Skelter and Fusion. Around that time I began organising coaches to take clubbers to places like Slinky and Bagleys.
I did work experience at Mixmag while studying a degree in journalism and continued to freelance until I was made Staff Writer for the Ibiza Mixmag in 2001, before finishing my degree in 2003 and starting in the London office.
