ATOMIC FLOYD POWERJAX

Designed as a more affordable way to get the Atomic Floyd sound, the PowerJax are the latest offering from the people that brought us the SuperDarts.

Using the same tough wearing Kevlar cable as the Superdarts and the company's signature silver and red colour combo, the PowerJax certainly look the part.

Featuring aluminium aircraft earbuds that fire sound directly into your ear canal, the PowerJax also offer a very snug fit - arguably better than their more expensive siblings.

However, where the PowerJax do show their price is in the sound. Although boasting a detailed high end like their more expensive counterparts, the PowerJax noticeably lack proper thump in the lower ranges.  When compared to the SuperDarts, tracks like Icicle’s sub-heavy Dreadnaught will feel hollow and less imposing.

If you’re in the market for  fair priced stylish, hardwearing earphones and don’t want the most balanced sound - the PowerJax could be worth checking out.
