AMAZON PLANNING MUSIC SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE

Online retailer Amazon is in talks with records labels about launching a subscription music service.

According to a report, the talks are "very informal" but the company is interested in providing a "similar" service to Spotify, which is currently the leader in its sector.

Previously we revealed how Twitter are planning to launch their own music streaming service and how Spotify removed the five plays-per-track restriction for its free users.
