VIMES (Tuff City Kids Remix)

As VIMES, Azar Syed and Julian Stetter have been creating soulful pop songs with an intricate electronic edge and they'll drop their first official single 'Mind' on February 12 via Humming Records and Rough Trade.

They may be new on the block but they've already ticked some big boxes. They've performed with the king Chilly Gonzales, supported Hot Chip on their headline tour and played at both The Great Escape and SXSW.

It looks like it could be a big 2016 for the duo and they've enlisted two of the best remixers in the game to give 'Mind' a blissful re-imagining. Yep, Tuff City Kids have worked their magic once again and we've found ourselves falling for them with every edit.

Gerd Janson and Lauer are the men of the moment. Both edit specialists with a prolific discography and both top-notch selectors both respectively and together.

Their piano-littered edit manages to merge bounding acidic basslines with funk-fuelled cowbells and percussion and the vocals are the perfect, echoed cherry-on-top. With an abundance of groove and a smattering of sunshine, this remix is more of the sublime-same we've come to expect from those Tuff City Kids.

'Mind (Reprise)' and the Tuff City Kids remix will be released on January 29 via Need/Want and 'Nights In Limbo' will drop on February 12 via Humming Records
