There’s a new app aimed at emulating the crate digging experience online

A new app named Trackstack, which aims to recreate the experience of digging for vinyl at a record shop on your phone, has been released.

It’s linked to Beatport and allows users to flick through releases, hear snippets and organise them into categories. Referrals to Discogs, SoundCloud and social media also enables further exploration of tracks.

The description of the app reads: “Trackstack is a simple, productive, and immersive digital crate digging tool for your favourite retailer.

“Trackstack's unique design emulates a traditional crate digging motion using a vertical swipe gesture, making exploring and sorting through tracks quicker and more productive.”

You can download it for free from the App Store now.
