Warner Bros. is developing a reboot of seminal 1999 sci-fi film The Matrix, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Details of the shape the project will take are currently unconfirmed, but Michael B. Jordan has reportedly be earmarked to star, with Zak Penn in talks to pen a treatment.
At this stage the Wachowski siblings, behind the original trilogy, are not involved, and no comment has been made on their feelings about the reboot.
Keanu Reeves has stated he would be interested in returning to the role of Neo if the Wachowskis were involved in a new instalment. "They would have to write it and direct it. And then we’d see what the story is, but yeah, I dunno, that’d be weird, but why not?” he told Yahoo Movies.
