Tycho, PJ Harvey and more set to play
An 1,800-capacity venue called Brooklyn Steel is set to open in East Williamsburg, New York in 2017.
Brooklyn Steel, which will be the largest general admission venue in Brooklyn, has been a vision since 2014, but now the venue has announced it is finally set to open by unveiling a line-up for its inaugural event.
Headliners for the launch include Tycho, Animal Collective, Pixies, PJ Harvey, Two Door Cinema Club and many more. Fans can expect indie rock and electronica bands to have a strong presence moving forward.
Owned and operated by Bowery Presents, the company that also owns Terminal 5, Music Hall Of Williamsburg, Rough Trade and Bowery Ballroom, the 20,000-square foot space will feature three bars, 40 bathrooms and dressing rooms equipped with full bathrooms, including washers and dryers.
