The BPM diary: Day 2 & 3

After a strong opening day at BPM, the perfect follow-up is Lee Burridge & Matthew Dekay's sublime All Day I Dream extravaganza at Mamitas on Saturday. Following a beautifully deep opening set from talented ADID newcomer YokoO, Lee and Matthew kick off a six hour back-to-back session.

We decide to take a break on Saturday night and rest up for a day-into-evening marathon on Sunday which includes parties from Culprit, Saved Records, I'm a House Gangster, Keinemusik, Black Butter Records and Hotflush. That's a ridiculous amount of talent playing in one day. It doesn't get much better than this.

We love Jozif's set at Fusion Beach Club for the Culprit affair. Hundreds of revellers smile from ear-to-ear as Jozif takes us through pure house heaven. He is followed by Maxxi Soundsystem, Droog and a remarkable set from Adriatique, who bring out a live vocal performance as the sun sets over the Yucatan jungle.

After popping into the Saved Records showcase at the newly-renovated Blue Parrot Beach Club to catch Subb-an, we head over to I'm a House Gangster at Mamitas where we are greeted by a tricked-out neon blue Oldsmobile and, of course, DJ Sneak, Mark Farina, Josh Wink and Jesse Perez.

Till Von Sein opens with an incredible funky house set at the Keinemusik gathering held at Tabu, followed by David Meyer who brought the thunder with some delicious jams.

Our last stop of the evening is the beautiful new location for La Santanera, with two floors including an outdoor terrace featuring Black Butter and the main event upstairs, where the supremely talented Hotflush clan lay it down.
