Spotify playlist: The Workout

Here at Mixmag, we aim to keep you loaded with playlists as regularly as possible.

We bring you themed compilations like Stranger Things Synths, Ibiza Comedown, E is For Ecstasy and Vibes For Pride and we also roll out more definitive lists like The History of Hip Hop.

Now it's time for a weekly addition to our Spotify ranks with a new selection called 'The Workout'.

Curated by our in-house fitness fanatic and US Digital Content Editor, carefully picked through trial during her daily training sessions.

The basis of Mixmag's new 'The Workout' is that if it makes you groove, it'll make you move. Whether it's running, lifting, interval training, all of the above, if it's music that makes you want to dance, each set will go that much harder.

The first installment of 'The Workout' features a strategic run of house, disco, funk and techno. The more bright and energetic cuts are designed to give that extra hop in your step for the last mile, while the gritty, dark and twisting tracks will help fine tune that intense, final rep focus.

Featured artists include Black Coffee, Midland, Leon Vynehall, The Martinez Brotheres, Dakar, Theo Parish, Sly & The Family Stone, Moodymann and many more.

Tune in below.
