Spotify playlist: 50 overlooked classics revived for today's dancefloors

With another passing week, Mixmag has added another batch of timeless cuts to our Overlooked Classics playlist on Spotify, this week delivering a diverse batch focusing on the many forms of house.

Leading off the update is a track by Nightmares On Wax titled 'Happiness'. Released in 1992, this soulful and raw house gem showcases the more dancefloor-focused style from the British producer. It's a record from the early days of his career, after he signed to Warp Records in 1989. Since then he's explored every style of music imaginable and is obviously known for his eclectic output.

Also included in the recent update is a deep acid chugger from French tastemaker D'Julz, who seems to have a catalogue full of ageless tracks that work magic on dancefloors from the past, present and future. Plus, we've added a classic remix by Derrick Carter, TKC sampling the popular Steely Dan track and flipping it for clubland, as well as an early DJ Deep track showcasing his smooth and soulful side.

These fresh additions join material by Simian Mobile Disco, Sascha Funke, Paul Woolford, Âme and 'Roll Over And Snore' by Idjut Boys, which has been on the playlist since the beginning, never forget!

Follow the playlist on Spotify to stay connected and be sure to check back for weekly updates occurring every Thursday.
