Spotify playlist: 50 forgotten house tunes and overlooked classics

Taking it deep into the depths of dance music’s history, Mixmag has added a stack of tracks to our Overlooked Classics playlist, including old-school minimal house, spacey ballads and a few surprises by two legends.

Many might not be aware of the ‘Eleven Phases’ compilation released in 2000 that tapped a collection of Detroit’s finest techno artists to produce hip-hop tracks. Here we’ve selected two from the compilation, one by Robert Hood and another by Stacey Pullen. Trust, these gems are brilliant.

Also found within the new update are classic tracks by Loco Dice, Anja Schneider, Audio Werner, Gregor Tresher and a beautiful track by Quazar, one of Amsterdam’s finest producers during the 90s. Listen to the entire playlist below.

Follow the playlist on Spotify to stay connected and be sure to check back for weekly updates occurring every Thursday.
