Over a week after us reporting about a woman going overboard the Mad Decent cruise ship, Skrillex has spoken about the matter.

The artists aboard the Norwegian Cruise Lines ship have been fairly quiet about the incident involving Kaylyn Sommer, who apparently jumped off the ship near Cuba, but the Jack Ü man felt it right to make a comment about the situation.

Speaking to TMZ, he said: "Things happen. On cruise ships a lot of time, there's 3000 people and sometimes something really awful happens. You have the rest of the people that paid all of their money to have an amazing weekend.

"Bad things happen all over the world and it's something that none of us ever foresaw or would have ever wanted to be a part of and it affected all of us so much. It's not something that we want to be sensationalised and the reason I'm talking to you is because no one's answered this question before."

The FBI became involved with the investigation, while many ticket-holders were unhappy at only being refunded $57 of a $1000 ticket.

In another interview before their win at the AMAs, Diplo and Skrillex revealed a new Jack Ü EP will be arriving early next year.
