Serato DJ software now compatible with Pioneer DJ's NXS2 series
An update allowing users to look away from the computer
Serato has linked with Pioneer DJ, allowing the DJ software to be compatible with Pioneer’s industry standard NXS2 range.
Now users can connect their Mac/PC running Serato to Pioneer’s DJM-900NXS2 and mix using the CDJ-2000NXS2’s or turntables with Serato DJ. The decks will show track titles, artwork, waveforms and other information from the software, allowing users to not have to rely on checking the computer screen.
DJs using Serato will have to update their software to version 1.9.5 to take advantage of the new features.
This news follows the Pioneer DJ Certification Program, a pledge by the company to assess products from other brands and work to have them be compatible with their flagship DJ gear.
