Selects: Scuba

So far in our Selects series on Apple Music we've had Danny Daze, Tensnake and Benjamin Damage curate playlists for us and next up is another techno mainstay, Scuba.

It's safe to say that the Hotflush boss had an amazing 2015. He released his fourth album 'Claustrophobia' to critical acclaim, he toured non-stop with numerous stops at Berghain and a set a Labyrinth Festival in Japan and he released year-defining tracks by Paul Woolfoord, Locked Groove and Alan Fitzpatrick.

His next big venture will see him take the reigns at XOYO every Saturday as part of his 12 Weeks of Techno residency. He follows in the footsteps of Eats Everything, Busy P, Bicep, Jackmaster and Skream as he programmes the club's line-ups until March 26.

All of the residencies have impressed so far but Scuba will be showcasing a techno-heavy roster that features the likes of Len Faki, Nina Kraviz, Mind Against, Matthew Dear and Kenny Larkin. Every date is a winner and Scuba's Selects playlist features mammoth tracks from the artists involved.

Brace yourselves for 12 Weeks of Techno, it's going to go hard.

Tickets for the residency and full line-up details can be found here

Len Faki - B-Pax

One of my favourite producers at the moment, he released so many great tracks in 2015 including this one.

Kenny Larkin - Colony

This is a classic from Plus 8 Records back in the 90s, a real Detroit record.

Nina Kraviz - Pain In The Ass

Slow burning loop house from one of the best DJs out there right now.

Jimmy Edgar - This One's For The Children

This was Jimmy's first single for my label, Hotflush, back in 2011. Always been a huge talent.

Chris Liebing - Tubular Chord

A proper banging Chris Liebing record, one of the best!

Audion - Mouth To Mouth

A huge tune from 2006, there's a remix package of this track coming out soon to celebrate the tenth anniversay of the original release.

Deetron - Photon

Deetron has been building momentum for a while now and this is one of my favourite tracks from him.

Shackleton - Deadman

A singular talent, this track is a great example of what makes Shackleton so unique.

Mind Against - Strange Days

Life And Death is such a great label and Mind Against are obviously a big part of it. This was a big tune for them in 2014.

Nicole Moudaber - Break It

Another DJ who's made a huge impression over the past couple of years, this is a really effective floor track from Nicole.

Locked Groove - Enigma

I think every DJ in the world played this record... I knew it was going to be huge when Dixon started opening his sets with it.

Anthony Parasole - Point God

This was one of my favourite tunes to play out last year, a real destroyer of a track which has given me a lot of memorable moments.

Pev + Kowton - Junked

These guys have always been working at the edges of the mainstream and they consistently come up with really interesting stuff.

Alan Fitzpatrick - Love Siren

Every track Alan makes seems to be huge... this one was no exception.

Paul Woolford - MDMA

One of the biggest tracks on Hotflush in 2015, Paul Woolford is such a versatile producer and of course a great DJ too.
