Few people know that Japan had a thriving disco and, in particular, boogie scene. One who does is Midnight Riot label boss Yam Who?

The disco aficionado has a special Japanese connection and as such has unearthed a collection of the most obscure and highly in demand Japanese boogie. He’s then invited some of his peers to add their edit capabilities to them.

‘Fuji Kiss’ enlists the talents of Rayko, who adds a signature deep kick to the innocent electronic funk of the original. It’s a classic rollerdisco jam with underproduced 80s drums, some cheeky synthetic horns and a happy-go-lucky female vox. An awesome insight to a forgotten scene.
