Radar Radio is opening a new academy for young creatives looking to break into the electronic music scene.

The project will launch with a series of beginner workshops starting on July 23 from their studio in Old Street. The upcoming sessions include DJ, radio and music production classes, and will cover a range of essential industry skills through mentoring and live experience.

From the success of its summer workshops last year (the station received over 700 applicants for its all-female classes), the intention of the academy is to offer greater creative opportunity and support to London's young talent.

Applications will open on July 13. Places are limited so be sure to keep an eye on Radar's academy page for updates.
