Premiere: Endian’s ‘XS-10’ will warp your mind

As Commix, George Levings stands among the drum ‘n’ bass spheres most distinguished artists, with a number of classic releases under his belt, including the first album released on seminal imprint Metalheadz.

Since 2011 he’s been marking out his versatility in other fields, building a distinct discography under his house/techno alias Endian.

2015 saw the finest Endian record yet arrive through Secretsundaze. In the monstrous ‘Finsh Me’ fronting the A-side he managed to create a functional warehouse banger that still maintained an idiosyncratic edge, with razor sharp percussion and uncannily warped vocal samples skipping through room-filling synths and soaring pads.

Endian’s next release sees him return to the London-based imprint for a two-track outing titled ‘Global’. Opening track ‘XS-10’ is another mind-warping production, skewing techno elements in disorientating directions above unabating percussion, before the introduction of a smoothly gliding synth at the midpoint elevates the emotional resonance. Listen below.

‘Global’ is out through Secretsundaze on February 3
