Obonjan announces first names for 10-week Croatian island season

Gerd Janson, Midland and Gilles Peterson are all signed up

Obonjan island is set to a host a 10-week programme of music, comedy, film, talks and wellbeing activities this summer across June 23 to September 3

The 450-capacity site in the Adriatic seas offers an intimate paradise surrounded by crystal waters for attendees to indulge in the diverse programme on offer.

Artists set to play over the course of the season include Hercules & Love Affair, Midland, Gerd Janson, Roy Ayers, Jordan Rakei, Gilles Peterson, Jack Savidge of Friendly Fires, Kaitlyn Aurelia, Flamingods, Norman Jay MBE and Horse Meat Disco.

Beyond music, a number of daily talks, workshop and film screenings will take place, with topics covered spanning lucid dreaming to wild swimming, as well as stargazing, yoga sessions and more.

Dan Blackledge, co-founder at Obonjan Rivijera, said: "As soon as we first set foot on Obonjan, we knew it was a special place, and last summer it was incredible to see the island come to life. Anyone who came,got a taste of what it has to offer, and this year is set to be better still. With an extensive creative programme and a raft of new developments on the island, it’s shaping up to be another extraordinary summer.”
