House and r'n'b vocalist Colonel Abrams has passed away aged 67.

The ‘Trapped’ and ‘Who Do You Love’ singer died on Thanksgiving, November 24, after suffering ill-health late in life.

Friends had a fundraiser set up for him last year that revealed Abrams was in financial trouble and had no permanent home.

The New York-based Abrams started his career with a host of r'n'b singles and albums before capitalising on the burgeoning house scene with releases on Strictly Rhythm, 157 Shelter Records and K. Sirrah records.

More recently he worked with Omar-S on ‘Who Wrote The Rules Of Love’ in 2011.
