Noel Gallagher: "The first time I heard acid house it fucking blew my mind"
He really does love house music
We already knew about Noel Gallagher's love for Defected Records and now the Mancunian's revealed what it was like when he heard acid house for the first time.
A few months after saying Defected's "fucking amazing", the High Flying Bird sat down to chat with rock journalist John Doran. Touching upon an early Oasis cover of Cartouche's 'Feel The Groove', Noel made clear his view on house music.
"Fucking hell. I've just been listening to it today, been driving my neighbours mad. I love it. When the acid house thing started in '87, it fucking blew my mind and it continues to do so."
He couldn't resist a joke when asked about his first pill, saying it was "great" but "not as good as the last one". Fair play.
