Night Slugs showcase in The Lab LDN: Bok Bok

The Lab LDN is Mixmag and Coors Light's weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world famous office party.

This Friday we welcome Night Slugs boss Bok Bok to the plate to spin a special 90 minute retrospective set showcasing sounds from the forward-thinking label he co-founded with L-Vis 1990 as we continue our search for the Label Of The Decade.

Night Slugs’ influence on the London clubbing landscape and beyond has been immeasurable. The futuristic stylings of its roster of artists, including the likes of Jam City, Girl Unit and Lil Silva, in pioneering a hybrid form of dance music combining house, UK funky, grime, dubstep and more has spawned a generation of club producers.

Bok Bok’s vision has been a driving force at the heart of the imprint, and is continuing to evolve, with the label’s sound in recent years shifting away from its stark, ice-cold origins to a more emotionally wrought and tender approach.

His Lab LDN set will showcase an era-defining span of club sounds, and will make a strong case for Night Slugs in our Label Of The Decade Poll. This week's live stream starts at 5pm BST. You can tune in live over on our Facebook page and re-watch on MixmagTVor below.
