Fresh from the launch of his first solo exhibition at Colette, Paris, contemporary artist and former M.I.A collaborator, Hassan Hajjaj has announced the re-birth of iconic streetwear label R.A.P London (Real Artistic People).

Blurring the lines of art, fashion and music, Hajjaj created the label as a middle finger to championing designer labels and in in response to the prevailing socio-political bleakness that defined the UK’s capital during the mid 80’s.

Designing with the likes of fellow peers such as Soul II Soul, Omar and London Posse in mind – R.A.P’s Neal Street, Covent Garden store soon became a retailer hub for music and artistry.

Fast forward to 2016 and the Moroccan born, London based artist look to past and present times, as he showcases twelve unisex pieces, compromising of six re-worked archive pieces, as well as six brand new designs, inspired by cultural movements of today’s NYC and London.

The collections vibrant palette and distinctive prints reflect the culturally colourful melting pots off our societies, making the brand just as relevant now as it was twenty years ago.

The collection is set to launch this November at Sole DXB - visit the website for more info.
