After a smashingly successful second season, Netflix has announced that it will be renewing its hit show Stranger Things for a third season.

The news was announced via Twitter after Netflix posted a poll asking if they should carry on with the show. Seven hours and 47,000 votes later, the streaming service confirmed with the following tweet.

In an interview with Vulture, the shows creators Matt and Ross Duffer shared that they plan on creating two more seasons, telling the publication “we’re thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out”. Whether or not they'll stop after four seasons remains to be seen, but for now, Stranger Things fans can rest easy: a third season is coming.
