Louisahhh & Maelstrom

A lot of new labels have cropped up over the last few years but it's safe to say that RAAR is one of the imprint's that's exciting us the most and with Louisahhh and Maelstrom at the helm, you know the output is going to come bearing a certain gold standard.

Both have already established themselves as amazingly talented DJs and when it comes to the heavier techno and electro tendencies, both have it on lock. Together they've formed an unbreakable chemistry that stretches from their b2b sets, their label curation and of course their productions.

The RAAR label nights they've been putting on have already seen the likes of Dave Clarke and Surgeon attend and they've released tracks from joeFarr, Roijacker and Specialivery via the the label.

For the fourth release, Louisahhh & Maelstrom take charge and we've got the first play of 'Listen (Be Patient)'. Those who are familiar with their collective sound will no doubt be looking forward to a dark, steely and beautifully-harrowing track. Well you're in luck.

The dense, claustrophobic cut is about as industrial as it gets and is certainly one that requires a cautious approach. Louisahhh's echoed, haunting vocals remain in the forefront while the weighted kicks, groove-fuelled hi-hats and razor-sharp melodies thrash in the background.

This one's an absolute punisher but perfect if you're really looking to let of some steam in the rave. Twisted brilliance.

The 'Listen/Hurry' EP will be released on October 17 via RAAR
