Mexico’s Beach Vibes festival, curated by LCD Soundsystem and featuring two headline sets from the re-united group, has been cancelled.

The festival, which was due to take place on the Riveira Maya on the Yucatan Peninsula in January next year, said canning the event was in the best interests of everyone involved.

A statement on the festival's website read: “The event was not coming together in the way that it was envisioned, and all parties have agreed that putting on an event that is less than 100% would be a disservice to the fans and bands alike."

The statement goes on to say that all fans who purchased all-inclusive packages and related airfare expenses will be refunded in full.

Run The Jewels, Carl Craig, Hot Chip and Holy Ghost! were due to perform alongside LCD Soundsystem at the three-day event.
