Kontrol D2 officially revealed by Native Instruments

Native Instruments have officially announced the Kontrol D2 DJ controller, heading for release this May.

The device was originally showcased a few weeks ago at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, intended to reduce laptop use for the performing DJ, and is now officially revealed by the music technology company.

We caught a glimpse of the features and the vast amounts of illuminated pads and knobs back when it emerged at the WMC (see here), but it can now be checked out in full with a 'road test' in the video below.

The Kontrol D2 will be hitting shelves May 4 for around $499 and the full features and specifications can be seen on the official site.
