Kerri Chandler has made the individual components of the track ‘Get It Off’ from his 1990 debut release ‘Super Lover’ available to download for the next 24 hours.

The track was made at a time when Chandler was struggling to come to terms with the rape and murder of his then girlfriend, Tracy.

He recently unearthed the original files and master tapes while working on a project for Dolby Labs, Circus and Ministry of Sound that is due to land next month, and has now uploaded them to WeTransfer for fans to grab.

The legendary New Jersey producer wrote about the motivation behind this decision on Facebook, revealing: “It was just Valentine's Day. Not one year goes by when I don't wonder about Tracy and how things might have been if she were alive today.

“In honour of her, I have put up a link for 24 hours to the ‘Get It Off’ multi-tracks to show how I made it, in the mind of a hurt and frustrated 18 year old, who was trying to make peace with the loss of someone he loves. The title was shortened from "Get it Off Of My Mind".

“I hope it inspires you as Tracy and the house music family did for me, Thank you for all your love and support.”

Download the stems via WeTransfer now, and listen to ‘Get It Off’ below.
