This comes from San Francisco’s JP Soul.

The title track kicks off with a pulsating bass pattern, steady drums, retro vocal chops and a randomly dramatic synth crescendo.

‘Work The Kinks’ has a warbling acid line and ominous pad-scapes layered over crisp beats, while standout ‘Morning Shivers’ is a cool, pitched-down house track that sounds like it came from the mixing desk of Ooft or Aeroplane.

A wee beauty, it has enough sincerity and depth to stand up as the last tune of the night.
