Find My Bucky is the new app to locate your closest Buckfast retailer

Ever desperate for a Buckfast but not sure where to find one? Stress no more! The recently launched ‘Find My Bucky’ app has been designed to help Buckfast drinkers quench their thirst and find their nearest supplier.

The app was announced on the Buckfast fan-run website Wreck the Hoose Juice for all their fellow tonic wine lovers, according to Edinburgh News.

A post read: “On holiday and quenching for a bottle of Bucky? At home but want to find out where the cheapest place is to buy Bucky near you? The Missus has you away for the weekend with the in-laws but want to sneak off for a tipple of tonic? Well we’ve got the answer for you.

“Our goal is to spread the awareness of Buckfast and to help the Buckateers around the globe easily locate the best wine in the world.”

The 99p app, available on iTunes and Google Play, uses the the current location of the user to display where their nearest Buckfast retailers are and how much they are selling it for.

The Buckfast search has locations in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Cyprus, Greece, the Caribbean and Australia. The app hopes to eventually cover every store with Buckfast in stock worldwide.

With the help of likeminded Buck-loving users, more locations are being added daily by users who are able to update the app themselves with stockists.

These users will be checked by the Buckfast team before being added to the list to ensure they take their Buckfast habits seriously.
