Essential: Bonaventure’s ‘Supremacy’

Bonaventure, one of our 2017 artist tips, has announced details of her first full release of the year, a six-track EP titled ‘Free Lutangu’ which is due out next month via PTP, one of our top labels of 2016. Quite the link up!

The first track unveiled from the release is ‘Supremacy’, an impactful production that combines menacing synth stabs, whirring sirens and punishing gunshots with samples from Sister Souljah’s rousing 1992 speech on Bill Moyer's PBS series Listening to America about racial oppression in the US.

It’s a vital, radical piece of music from a producer asserting herself at the heart of the politically progressive club sphere. Listen below and head to Bandcamp to pre-order the EP.
