People tapped into instrumental grime will have seen Drone’s name crop up on many a tracklist over the past few years, but rather than rush his development, he’s embraced it.

Debut EP ‘Signals’ is a testament to that growth, showcasing a hard-as-nails sound palette that references the gritty grime sounds emanating from cities like Bristol and Manchester.

The searing bass pressure and monstrous claps on ‘Fruit Punch’ are devastating, while the eerie, iced-out square wave melodies on ‘Target’ pack a gloomier punch, leaving title track ‘Signals’ to sign off with a proper trapped-out 808 lean.
