Over the last year, Nina Kraviz has showcased some exceptional A&R skills with her трип label. Acts like Bjarki, Nikita Zabelin and Roma Zuckerman have all featured on the amazing compilations released so far but the name that really stands out for us is Deniro.
We've said it before, we'll say it again; when we first heard 'Organezized' by the Dutchman, we knew he was someone to keep our sights locked on and in February this year we asked him to compile a Guide mix for us.
The mix was an hour of sheer excellence and one that showcased an extra-terrestrial style of house and techno. The pace never let up, the grooves were solid and he brought this strain of electronic music to Melkweg when we saw him last weekend at the Dekmantel By-Night party.
He was the stand-out DJ that night and with a line-up consisting of DJ Bone, Tama Sumo and Joy Orbison b2b Solar, that's no easy task. Now it's time for a premiere from the producer and we've been sitting on this one for a while.
The whole Guide mix was a treat but one track stood out in particular and we're happy to have secured the first ever full play. 'Painting 1' is due for imminent release via Tape Records and it should be filed under intergalactic.
Expect wandering synths, thick kick drums and cymbals that add groove by the second. The rolling drops are frequent and components are added tenderly for the duration of the track, so our advice with this one? Turn it up loud and jet off to Deniro's high-octane universe.
'Painting 1' by Deniro will be released soon via Tape
