Grime like you've never heard it before
Earlier this week we premiered a tune from v1984's debut EP and now we introduce another American twisting club music into abstract shapes in the form of Chants.
Some Stateside seem intent on bringing the noise and that's fine with us. The Wisconsin producer's new five-track effort for Astral Plane Recordings contains a flurry of mangled yet emotive grime instrumentals as well as a couple of 'Selected Ambient Works'-esque piano pieces. It's another missive from the area of underground dance music that has fun fucking with the template.
We've got the first play of 'The Zookeeper', the record's title track and its most epic moment. You can check it below and be sure to keep your eyes trained on the Astral Plane, which is of course an excellent blog and slowly but surely coming into its own as a label.
