Cassy starts new label for 'honest and upfront' house music
Cassy and Demuir hook up on KWR001
Cassy has announced a new label, Kwench Records, which will be an output for “honest and upfront” material. But there’s a twist. Every release on the label will be a collaborative effort between two or more artists.
The label's debut release is ‘Please Me’ on which the British-born, Austrian-raised artist collaborates with Canadian Demuir. The result of this is three tracks: ‘Stand Up (Your Life)’, ‘Please Me’ and ‘Love Me - Now’.
Demuir’s ‘Derrick Does Disco’ EP was released on Great Lakes Audio in 2016 and was a favourite in Cassy’s sets that year - it even made it into her top-notch Mixmag’s ‘Let’s Talk About Donna Mix’.
'Please ME’ will be released on November 3 via Kwench Records. A remix package is in the works with a release date slated for the end of the year.
