Carl Cox drops two old-school techno mixes from 2004
A trip back in time with the illustrious DJ
British techno titan Carl Cox has shared a pair of classic DJ sets from live performances in 2004, one from The Arches in Glasgow and another from Seoul, Korea.
The two vintage sets were shared as a recent broadcast on Cox’s Global Radio show, an outlet that will cease operation on February 9 following 16 years.
Cox has been moving on from many of his duties in recent months, but since the final DJ set of his 15 year residency at Space Ibiza that took place in September 2016, he’s made plenty of moves to let fans know his career is far from over. He’s announced a new set of gigs at San Antonio’s Privilege and has also revealed the lineups for his festival series Pure taking place in Australia.
Aside from the upcoming gigs, Cox has also supplied his knowledge and expertise to a forthcoming acid house documentary titled They Call It Acid. The film also features commentary by Derrick May, Paul Oakenfold and Noel Gallagher, along with narration by Robert Owens.
